Cultural Economic Grants

The Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities has created a new category of project grants with $50,000 in funding provided by the Massachusetts Cultural Council's John and Abigail Adams Arts and Humanities Program. According to the enabling legislation, the program is designed to "promote innovations in the arts and humanities that have the capacity to revitalize communities, stimulate income, create or enhance jobs, and attract tourism."

Proposals may utilize the full range of public humanities program formats, including but not limited to, public conferences, lectures and panel discussions, reading and discussion programs, oral history projects, museum exhibitions, theatrical presentations, documentary films, radio and video productions, professional workshops and seminars, and websites. The maximum grant is $10,000. All other MFH grant guidelines and restrictions apply.
